Banning Ransomware Payments Could Create New Crisis Situations

The day before the U.S. announced it recovered millions of dollars in cryptocurrency that Colonial Pipeline paid to cyber attackers, U.S. Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm said she supported banning such payments. But prohibiting the payments could create other crisis situations for companies.
